St. George's Hall - Concert Room
ST. GEORGE’S HALL
Concert Room
St. George's Hall is a building in Neoclassical style which contains concert halls and law courts, and is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building. The circular Concert Room, built with truly staggering artistry by its architect Charles Robert Cockerel, is breathtakingly beautiful. It is decorated in soft tones of cream and gold. You can admire an opulent crystal chandelier, walls lined with Goddess-like statues, angelic cherubs and Ravenhead glass mirrors that create stunning reflections around the featured stage.
Charles Dickens gave many readings on the stage and declared it to be ‘the most perfect room in the world.’ Originally designed to accommodate an orchestra, it has excellent acoustics.
The Three Tenors Vincenzo Tremante, Alessandro Fortunato e Francesco Fortes accompanied by a string quartet and piano, will offer the audience a spectacular journey through the masterpieces of the Italian opera and the Neapolitan songs. Single date: November 8th 2024. Book now!
