Salone dei Piceni
SALONE DEI PICENI
Concert Season in Rome
The wonderful Salone dei Piceni, part of the San Salvatore in Lauro Complex, was the former refectory of the convent, and inside it we find not only a beautiful and large fresco depicting the Wedding at Cana by Francesco Salviati (16th century) but also the tomb of Pope Eugene IV.
A plunge into the past:
Crossing the threshold of the Complex of S. Salvatore in Lauro you will be able to admire the first cloister, a true architectural jewel with a layout dating back to the 15th century which presents a loggia with two orders of arches with elegant columns. Continuing inside the Complex we find the surprising renaissance courtyard, an oasis of beauty in the heart of Rome, an enchanting place, where history can be breathed in every corner and beautiful architectural blends with the harmony of nature.
The courtyard is the setting for summer Opera and Lirica concerts.
The beauty of this location makes it a stage for outstanding cultural events. Our concert, "The Four Seasons" by Vivaldi performed by Elvin Dhimitri to be held on 10, 17 and 31 October, is an unmissable opportunity to experience the magic of this enchanted place, being carried away by the notes and the beauty of the setting.
An unforgettable experience:
Attending a concert inside in the S. Salvatore in Lauro Complex will be an unforgettable experience. A perfect combination of music, art and history, giving unique emotions and sealing the memory of a special evening.
