Palazzo Biscari

PALAZZO BISCARI

Concert Room

Palazzo Biscari is one of the most prestigious and representative examples of Sicilian Baroque architecture, located in Catania, on the eastern coast of the island. Built in the early 18th century by the Biscari family, nobles of Spanish origin, the palace stands out for its imposing beauty and rich decorations, blending various styles, including Baroque, Rococo and Neoclassical style.

The facade is a perfect example of Baroque elegance, characterized by sinuous lines and a series of ornamental balconies that enrich its appearance. The interior of the palace is equally stunning, with sumptuous rooms adorned with stuccoes, frescoes, fine marbles, and antique furniture. Among the most fascinating features are the magnificent decorations of the Grand Hall of Orchestra and the grand staircase.

The palace was the residence of the Biscari family for centuries and, over time, became one of the symbols of the power of the Catania nobility. Today, Palazzo Biscari is also an important cultural and museum hub, hosting events, exhibitions and concerts.
